The Urban Yoga Foundation is proud to annouce that UYF has expanded past the New York metropolitan area, all the way to Florida. We are currently teaching in St. Petersburg, Tampa and Lakeland areas in Florida. We are also working with the City of St. Petersburg Cohorts of Champions program led by Clayton Sizemore
Academy Prep Centers for Education
As a private 501(c)(3) non-profit organization. Our mission is to inspire and empower students qualifying for need-based scholarships to become future community leaders through a rigorous middle school program coupled with ongoing graduate support. We have two campuses located in the urban centers of St. Petersburg (south) and Tampa (Ybor City)
Academy Prep St Petersburg: During the 2017 and 2018 academic year Urban Yoga is a part of Academy Prep's after school enrichment program servicing in each class 12 middle school students each session.

New Beginnings High School
A place where struggling students can realize their full potential and achieve academic excellence, while earning a state recognized diploma. Students are encouraged and motivated to create academic benchmarks that they can track. Their advisory teacher will provide individualized time ensuring every student stays on track to achieve his or her academic goals. Exceptional Student Education: services to help students that are emotionally or behaviorally disabled or having emotional problems develop learning skills to succeed in the classroom and beyond.

NBHS Winter Haven: Starting in February of 2018 to the end of the school year in May we are servicing 12 male high school students.

The Arts Conservatory for Teens (ACT) / Cohort of Champions (Funded By The City of St. Petersburg)
ACT is a non-profit 501(c)3 organization. Its program is a magnet arts afterschool program that focuses on education, empowerment and enrichment, primarily for youth and teens of lower to moderate income families. ACT’s model to educate, empower and enrich young people has helped hundreds of youth and teens of our community – offering hope in realizing their dreams and career aspirations.
Urban Yoga provides a full one hour full yoga class at the Jet Jackson Center in St. Petersburg that includes with mindful meditation. Urban Yoga works with the ACT team servicing 16 male students since January of 2018. During the program, the Cohorts utilize reading material that as a group, they review and discuss each session. The topics include subjects such as the students and police guide to building positive relationships, knowing your rights, the benifits of meditation, African American history, and public speaking/presentation skills.

The Enoch Davis Center
A 18,000 square foot multi-service center located adjacent to the James Weldon Johnson Branch Library. The facility houses space for human service agencies, two meeting rooms, two multi-purpose halls, a computer lab, snack bar, and many other nice amenities. On-site agencies provide direct services at the Enoch Davis Center. These agencies help residents with various social service needs such as congregate dining, and legal services. You can even pay your City of St. Petersburg water utility bill right here. When it comes to family, friends and community, Enoch Davis Center is a great place to start.
Urban Yoga Community Yoga Class: A community based yoga class open to the community donation based for beginners and experienced has been happening since January of 2017, servicing 10-12 adults each class.

Willis S. Johns Center, Fossil Park
Located in an active Northeast part of St. Petersburg. The center was named in 1971 in honor of Colonel Willis S. Johns, USAF Ret in recognition of his contributions to the community in the Meadowlawn area. The 12,500 square foot center is a busy hub with a large selection of classes. Fossil Park, named for the large number of Indian artifacts and fossils on the property, contains a skate park, pool, two outdoor basketball courts, six tennis courts, four baseball fields and a fitness trail.
Urban Yoga Community Yoga Class: A fee based yoga class open to the community for beginners and and experienced yogis. This class has been happening since January of 2017 servicing 10-12 adults each class.
